Three Rules of Romance

OK, so this isn't the Holy Grail of winning the heart and mind of someone forever, but there are a few certain rules you should apply to your relationship - most of them are common sense, but like so many things, it's usually the obvious things we forget about.

1. NEVER take your loved one for granted.

Sounds obvious, doesn't it? But how many times have you just assumed your loved one will be happy to go along with what you want to do, or go where you want to go? If they love you, chances are they won't complain but you could be building up some resentment here...

2. NEVER stop trying
We've all done it; you're six months into a relationship with the love of your life and you fall into the next stage of a relationship - The regular routine... It's easy to do and is a follow on from Rule 1. If this relationship is worth it, you need to work at it. Little love notes, surprise gifts, tickets to something your honey said they'd love to see a while back - these are the little things that can show your lover how very special they are to you.

3. Listen and Learn
OK, so you're 6 months into a relationship and you think you know everything there is to about your honey. You really don't! You could be perfect soulmates and have the ability to second guess pretty much anything your lover needs or wants. But even the most 'set-in-their-way' person change over time, and only by really listening to sweetheart can you pick up on this.
